Democracy & Development (D&D International) is a non profit civilian association, located in Lima, Peru.

Emerged as a think tank in order to educate the population and to influence in the design of public policies that are directed to strengthen democracy and to obtain a sustainable and equitative development in the country of a long reach.

D&D International seeks to identify those situations that not allow to reach a real democracy and a sustainable and equitative development. From this starting point, wishes to make studies, diagnoses and projects with a positive impact in the population and influence in the decision making in the different scopes of the State and the society.

Also, D&D International believes in the need to construct a long term country-vision to be shared, where the ideals of the different sectors from the population converge in a common aim. In this way, it is easier to guide the public policies and private initiatives, as well as all effort from the civil society, to reach goals and to obtain concrete results for the political, economic and social well-being of Peru.

Mission

To stimulate the thought and the reflection on the consolidation and deepening of democracy and forms of development, through which Peru can advance towards a sustained economic growth, with majors equality levels and a long term vision.

Vision

To obtain a shared country-vision, where democracy as a political regime and the democratic practices of the citizens are strongly ingrained in our idiosyncrasy, next to a sustained growth, with less inequality and the same opportunities for all.
