Welcome to Democracy & Development (D&D International) a think tank recently founded in Peru with the aim to help in the construction of a better country.

D&D International firmly believes in democracy as the only legitimate way of government, as this is the best platform for growth, equity and their sustainability. Also, is in democracy where freedoms and fundamental rights  are guaranteed by respecting them with the purpose to build more fair, united and participating societies.

Democracy and development are two concepts that hold hands. The good work of a democratic regime should allow the conditions for development. Nevertheless, not always this is the reality, because the deficient public management, the weakness of the institutions, the corruption, the centralism, the political forces of opposition and the social tensions, between others, are obstacles that avoid to reach these goals and give them a continuity of a long reach.

In Peru the political risks still being a latent threat, whose repercussion is severe with high impacts in other sectors of the State, obstructing therefore the advances that can have been obtained. In this way, it is important to work with a country-vision, shared by different actors of society to go on towards the same direction. D&D International have the compromise to work to achieve this great objective.
